These stressors can easily throw our gut microbiome out of balance, especially as they accumulate over time.

A juice cleanse is a powerful and effective way to reset and bring back that balance to our gut wall, which host 70% of the cells that make up our immune system. We can all agree that our physical health, mental health, & spiritual health should be our highest priority.

OUR SEASONAL CLEANSES



Our cold pressed juices are phytonutrient dense powerhouses that detox, hydrate, and restore the body. At Gypsy Juice our cleanses are made with 100% local and/or organic ingredients, following the seasons here on Maui.


We carefully craft a new juice menu each cleanse. This gives us the ability to focus on different areas/aspects of cleansing, supports our mindful farmers, practices sustainability, and allows participation for our veterans who cleanse often.

PRE-CLEANSE


Eliminate coffee, processed sugar, meat, dairy, wheat, alcohol, and nicotine to reduce headaches and craving symptoms during cleanse. Increase your intake of fruits, fresh vegetables, and fluids 1 to 3 days prior to your cleanse.


CLEANSE


On this day you will be consuming the juices we have prepared for you. I will be sending a schedule with your juices to keep you on track throughout the day.


POST-CLEANSE


The day after completing the cleanse. The portion sizes should be small, and the diet should be similar to pre-cleanse. Gradually add back in foods you would like to incorporate in your new diet. Be mindful of your reactions when you re-introduce food. Does it give you energy? Does it make you feel sluggish? Take advantage of the reset to adapt more mindful eating habits.


CLEANSING TIPS


  1. MORNING BOOST! Start each morning with 16oz warm lemon water. I like to add a few slices of ginger in mine to get my digestive tract moving.
  2. STAY HYDRATED! We recommend drinking 16oz of water or herbal tea (no caffeine) between juices, feel free to add a fresh lemon or lime slices.
  3. SIP MINDFULLY! Our juices are raw, organic, unprocessed, and unfiltered. Savoring each sip is not only a mindful practice but will allow for maximum nutrient absorption.
  4. KEEP ACTIVITY LIGHT! Breaking a sweat definitely aids in cleansing, but don't overdo it. Limit any strenuous activity (remember you are detoxing) to walking, gentle yoga practices, sunbathing, and gardening are all okay.
  5. SELF-LOVE! With the extra time not spent obsessing over food choices you know have the time to treat yourself. Schedule a massage, read that book you've been meaning to, take an Epson salt bath, plan your next vacation, organize your home, journal your experience, set up movie night in the living room, play board games with the family.
  6. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! Some days will be more challenging than others. Day 2 to 3 is always the hardest for me, especially if I had been going a little overboard on caffeine that month. If you are feeling lightheaded eat a bite or two of an avocado or banana and simply follow your next juice as scheduled. Remember, although this is often called a fast your body is feasting on high amounts of vitamins, minerals, and live enzymes.
  7. PLAN ACCORDINGLY! Don't overschedule yourself throughout your cleanse. Your energy will come and go during the first few days, so don't plan anything major while participating. It is normal to have an extra bathroom trip while cleansing, elimination at its finest!
